The Process
What to expect
Step 1: The Initial Design
After you submit your initial artwork and ideas for your design, including coin parameters (size, thickness, finish) and edging preferences, we will send it off to the design team at the foundry to have an initial conception drawing completed. You will be able to see your coin take shape and make any colour and or design changes from there.
A preliminary quote based on the initial concept drawing may be provided at this time but is subject to change depending on any design changes you make to the initial concept drawing. For any changes or updates, a new concept drawing will be supplied for your review prior to providing a final quote and placing your order.

Step 2: Design Approval and Final Quote
Once you have made any and all necessary changes and the design is to your liking, a final quote will be provided. Quotes can be provided for various amounts; typically clients order 50, 100, 125, 150, 200, or 500+ coins. The more coins ordered, of course, will see the price per unit drop and end up giving you better value.
To place your order, 50% of the total quote is due. With the other 50% due upon completion of your coin prior to shipping from the foundry.
Once payment is received, the order will be placed. You will receive regular updates to your order showing the progress along the way.
Please note: Once the production process is started you are unable to make any additional changes and the original agreed upon design is the design that will be produced.

Step 3: Final Payment & Shipment
Once the final payment is received, the coins will be received by Hilliard Ewing Designs in preparation to be shipped to you, the client. The process from the time your order is placed to coins in your hands is 3-6 weeks. This can vary depending on holidays, shipping delays, and/or the complexity of your design such as the amount of different colours or finish.
